A Full Programme for 16-17 Year-olds

Our BELS young-adult programme is the perfect balance between our junior courses and adult courses. It’s designed for independent teens who’d like more flexibility during their study-trip. The programme includes English courses, accommodation and a leisure plan for students aged 16 and 17. It’s a great opportunity to learn English in Malta, while experiencing Malta’s rich history and exciting atmosphere with students of a similar age.

The Young Adult Programme includes:

Homestay accommodation sharing rooms on HB Basis;
International classes (20 or 30 lessons) with maximum 12 students;
English online placement test;
Coursebook;
Certificate of attendance;
Activity programme: 3 afternoon or evening activities + 1 full day on the weekend (optional);
Arrival and departure airport transfers.

You’ll find yourself learning the language in a way you never imagined possible, through experiencing it spoken naturally in a safe and popular destination. Compared to other countries, the cost of living in Malta is also generally lower.

English Courses:

On the Young Adult Programme, you can choose from a General English Standard or General English Intensive group courses for all levels. Apart from that we can also help you prepare for any upcoming English examinations like IELTS, CAE or FCE amongst others. You may also join our IELTS preparation courses or take up individual lessons to prepare better for your exams. If you’d like to learn English in Malta for work, there’s also business English group courses to help you reach your future career goals.

Accommodation:

Students on the Young Adult English Course can only use BELS homestay options (as per Maltese law) due to legal age. Most of the time BELS also make sure your roommate speaks a different language so you can also continue to practice and learn English in Malta after your school hours. The accommodation is provided on a half-board basis. Any special dietary requirements can be catered for, just make sure to inform us beforehand.

Leisure Programme:

The Young Adult leisure programme is optional, and BELS will provide leisure activities such as hikes, historical and cultural tours, sports or social outings. Once you arrive at the school we’ll show you a weekly schedule of activities. You can choose 3 afternoon or evening activities on weekdays, and 1 full day activity on the weekend per week. Unlike our international teen camp, we do not provide 24/7 supervision for students taking part in our Young Adult Programme.
